About Integrations
Connect Validio to your data infrastructure to monitor data quality across warehouses, streams, transformation tools, and BI platforms.
Connect Validio to your data infrastructure to monitor data quality across warehouses, streams, transformation tools, and BI platforms. Validio pulls data from your sources, runs validators to detect issues, and sends alerts to your team through notification channels. You can also connect LLM providers to power AI-assisted validator recommendations and SQL generation and use the MCP server to manage Validio through AI assistants.
Setting Up a Data Source Integration
Connecting a data source to Validio typically involves these steps:
-
Create a service account: In the tool you want to integrate, create a dedicated account for Validio with read-only access to the data you want to monitor.
-
Add a credential: Configure the connection in Validio using your service account. Once connected, Validio discovers available assets and can display them in catalog and lineage views.
-
Create sources: Select which tables, topics, or datasets to actively monitor. Validio begins pulling metadata and metrics once a source is created.
-
Add validators: Configure validators to track metrics like row counts, null rates, freshness, and other calculated statistics. Use custom SQL validators for business-specific logic. Set up notification rules to route alerts when incidents are detected.
-
Configure notifications: (Optional) Connect notification channels to route alerts to Slack, Microsoft Teams, ServiceNow, or other tools your team uses.
