Managing Filters
The Filters tab lists all of the filters that were created on the selected Source. You can use the Filters tab to create new and manage existing filters on a specific source. After creating the filters, you can use them to configure Validators and Segmentations on this source.
Create a New Filter
To create a new filter on a source,
- Navigate to the Sources details page and Filters tab.
- Click + New Filter.
- Select the Type of filter to configure. The Configuration options depend on the filter type. For more information, see About Filters.
- Enter a Name for the filter, or click Generate name to automatically create one from your configuration.
- (Optional) Click Preview to view a sample of your filtering results.
- Click Create filter.
Update a Filter
When updating an existing filter, you cannot change the type of filter. You can only update the filter's configuration parameters. If you want to replace this filter with a different type, you should create a new filter.
To update an existing filter on a source,
- Navigate to the Sources details page and Filters tab.
- Find the name of the filter that you want to update.
- In the menu for the filter, select Update filter.
- Edit the configuration for the filter.
- (Optional) Click Preview to view a sample of your filtering results.
- Click Update filter.
Delete a Filter
To delete a filter on a source,
- Navigate to the Sources details page and Filters tab.
- Find the name of the filter that you want to update.
- In the menu for the filter, select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
