Configuring a Validator

Use the Validator configuration wizard to configure Validators in your source.

Prerequisites

Before you start the Validator configuration wizard, you must configure:

1. Select source

Navigate to the Validators tab on the Source you want to configure a Validator for.

2. Configure new Validator

Click + New Validator to start the Validator configuration wizard.

3. Select Validator type

Select which Validator type you want to configure.

4. Config

Select which metric to calculate.

Optionally, select Initialize with backfill to use Backfill.

5. Source config

Select the required source config options for your Validator.

Optionally, set a filter to filter out values from the Validator metric calculation.

6. Reference source config

Specify details about your reference source.

7. Threshold

Define a Threshold to specify what values of the calculated Validator metric should be considered an incident.

8. Finish set-up

Navigate to the Source details tab and click on a Validator to view details, graphs, incidents, and edit thresholds.

Note: You must start your source before the Validators can calculate metrics on your data.
