In the settings page you can view the system status or configure users, identify providers, profile settings, and Credentials. You can also set-up Notification rules and Channels for sending incident reports outside Validio.

  1. Click on Settings in Menu, to navigate to the settings page.

Validio users

You can add or update users and set privileges for each user in your Validio system. You can deactivate users who no longer requires access to the system. Additionally, you can add identity providers to authenticate the identity of users.

  1. Click on Users to display users and identity providers.
  2. The Users section lists users created in your Validio system. For each user, it displays information on access privileges, status, and associated identities.
  3. Click on + Add to create new users for your Validio system.
  4. The Identity provider section lists identity providers enabled in your Validio system. For each identity provider, it displays status and type.
  5. Click on + Add to configure new identity provider for your Validio system.

Click on Add user to create a new user.

Alternatively, click on Update in the ⋮ menu, to update an existing user.
Note: You can only update user accounts if you are an admin. Admin accounts can't be modified.

Identity providers

Click on Add identity provider to enable single sign-on for your users.

Alternatively, click on Update in the ⋮ menu, to update an existing identity provider.

In the Credentials settings, you can view, update, and add new Credentials for your system.

  1. Click on Credentials to display credentials.
  2. The Credentials section lists credentials configured for your Validio system. For each credential, it displays the source or destination type.

Click on + Add to add new Credentials.

Alternatively, you can add Credentials when you configure a Source or Destination.

Menu options

In the ⋮ menu you can access:

  • Rename : Change the identifier for the Credential.
  • Update : Update the Credential. For example, replace the JSON file or change the username & password.
  • Delete : Remove the Credential from the Validio platform.


Delete Credentials

You cannot delete Credentials that are connected to a Source and/or Destination.

Before you can delete a Credential, you must first delete the connected Sources and/or Destinations.


In the notification settings, you can view and configure Notification rules and Channels.

  1. Click on Notifications to display Notification rules and Channels.
  2. The Notification rules section displays Notification rules created for your Validio system.
  3. Click on + Add to create a new Notification rule.
  4. The Channels section displays Channels configured for your Validio system. For each channel, it displays the channel type.
  5. Click on + Add to configure a new Channel.

Click on + Add to start the Notification rule wizard.


Click on +Add to start the Channel configuration wizard.

Note: You can use configured Channels when setting up Notification rules.

In the ⋮ menu, you can:

  • Update Notification rule or Channel
  • Delete Notification rule or Channel
