# Validio GraphQL API Reference

> Every query, mutation, and type in the Validio GraphQL API, generated from the schema.

This reference documents every query, mutation, and type in the Validio GraphQL API. For the endpoint, authentication, and when to use the GraphQL API rather than the CSV Export API, see [About Validio API](https://docs.validio.io/developer/validio-api.md). ## How this reference is organized

The reference is generated from the Validio GraphQL schema, and has three sections, each listed alphabetically:

* **Queries:** One page per query, with its arguments, its return type, and an example request with variables and a sample response.
* **Mutations:** One page per mutation, in the same format.
* **Types:** One page per type, including input types, enums, interfaces, and unions.

Permission requirements appear in each operation's description. For example, `channelCreate` requires `CHANNELS_WRITE`.
